There are some who need a season of change... |
Seasons of Change A sea of swaying colors blankets the earth And spreads..a festive bountiful bouquet Offering up nature’s purest sweet births To cleanse the land with its glorious array The skies turn azure to compete with the sea Whose sapphire shimmer boasts cool retreat From smoldering rays that dance heatedly To awake cricket chirp nearby barren feet Crispy paints now tumble in crimson red hues To flutter beneath so loose and carefree For ageless delight and stomps from some shoes With wingless flight to land in a pile of glee But soon frosty breaths drift to the dusky skies And night reveals her brisk shimmering pearls Barren limbs now adorn soft white disguise With marveling youth enchanted by this world These are the seasons we live through every year Resplendent, glorious each in its own rite But do we remember the ones who are dear Our own little wonders who hunger at night Their wonderous eyes behold all of these sights And marvel at the mystery that comes with change But how can they remain sweet and free of plight When their empty tummies growl in yearning pain Have we forgotten our own little treasures Who look to us for every trusting need We need a season of change for better endeavors To nurture all of our precious growing seeds So let us create the change in the seasons And care for God’s children as gatekeepers would Then with satisfied tummies and no more poor reasons Our children will grow happy and strong like they should |
