Introspections of a husband--Men take women for granted. Reciprocation is essence of love.
I MISS SOMETHING

I miss, but I do not know what
Is it that I do miss.
Of one thing I am certain that
I miss that loving kiss.

I do miss those old days, now gone,
When as husband and wife,
Life was such a silken feeling,
Without quarrel or strife.

I miss the twinkle you always
Had in your sparkling eye,
As both of us watched, arm in arm,
A rainbow in the sky.

I miss your sweet smile when daily,
Exact at eight thirty,
You came to me, carrying a
Cup of my morning tea.

I miss your sweet comforting touch
On my beaded forehead,
When after vigorous labour,
I panted for some breath.

Where now that sweet smile and twinkle?
And, where that loving touch?
Where have gone those lovely glances,
That did convey so much?

But, blame yourself! O selfish me!
How dare I ask now this?
I should have been asking myself:
Why do I all this miss?

A woman is also human,
She, too, needs a love glance.
She also, treasures a man’s smile,
She, also, needs romance.

I denied you all of this and
Just took you for granted.
I plucked out all your happiness
And, depression, planted!
