Gladys smiled across the table at Earl. "My grandmother taught me to make sausage. But I haven't had any interest in making sausage since she died." She turned the handle of the meat grinder. Gladys glanced at Earl his eyes had glazed over.
"I just want to thank you for this meat grinder. It wasn't what I wanted for our anniversary but it really is useful." She finished grinding the meat and began to attach the sausage stuffing attachment. It was a bit of a struggle but she knew better than to ask Earl for help.
"This sausage should be good when it's finished. To bad you can't enjoy it." Gladys picked Earl's severed head up from the table by his hair and placed it in the bag with the portions of his remains she couldn't run through the grinder.
"I don't know why you gave me this meat grinder, but then we all go a little mad sometimes."
