Woke up, got out of bed.
9/25/2022

I woke up this morning struggling to bring up the nightly dream. It had something to do with Chuck Norris riding a marshmallow peep into battle. The details slowly began to form. It was a big peep; big enough for Chuck to ride. Or maybe he was a small Chuck - I couldn't tell. Either way It was one of those pink peeps shaped like a little chick and he was charging full speed, chasing a troop of yellow bunny peeps. I knew in my heart that he was going to round-house kick them into eternity. But the alarm went off and I missed the big finish.

Five minutes later, with coffee in hand, I stumbled into the living room for my early morning quiet time. This is where the best dreams happen. The Peep Norris situation was unusual for nighttime. At night the dreams are just plain weird (and sometimes scary). There was the time I was being chased around a swimming pool situated in the middle of the street in front of my childhood home by two lions who clearly wanted to eat me. I woke up before they caught me, but it was close. Then there was the time I found myself on a carnival ride through the middle of my grandmother's house, staring up at the stars - the roof was gone - and I was surrounded by jungle, but still in my Mema's house. And of course there's the flying dream where I find myself soaring just above the power lines; there's the leaping dream where I'm bouncing great distances; there's the running dream where I'm running faster than humanly possible. These are all fun but scary as I never know if I'll come down or stop until I wake up.

Those post waking dreams, during quiet time, are much more fun and interesting.
But this morning there was nothing. I guess the coffee was too strong. I ended up wasting time on social media, drinking my coffee and finally giving up.

I wonder if I could post an old writing experiment to this log? What if I edited it a bit. I really like it and want to share it one day....
