Our stars will never align.
The flames rise, a light of sovereignty,
But all the warmth, and endless nights,
Aren’t given to those who can see,
But to the dreamers who reach for me.

Day by day, I burn in silence,
The darkness strays away.
Though we may never touch or meet,
In shadows, our heartbeats stray.

For every dawn, I greet the sky,
But for dusk, I rise and die.
I set, unseen, behind her veil—
A love bound forever to fail.

For I am cursed, and she takes the stars,
To live where we are star-crossed.
Her cold light, which I adore,
Her distant beauty from the shore.

When the world is sound asleep,
She shines with light
Borrowed from my hidden glow—
A love she'll never truly know.

Still, I blaze, though torn apart,
A sun that lights the moon’s own heart.
Always chasing, yet never near,
And though she turns away, I’m here.

I will be the sun that shines for the moon.
