What is life, but what you make it?
Open your eyes.
Look around.
Don't pretend. Look.
Where are you? Home?
Safe? A place you love?
Do you love?
Do you share the happiness you find in things?
Big questions. We can save them for later.
Now, where are you going? Do you know that?
It's okay if you don't, despite what they tell you.
Many have no idea, and they are much further in their journey than you yours.
For some, knowing where they want to go is their journey. For others, it's what comes after.
For that, many do not succeed in their journeys. You are not one of them.
I can tell.
You are everything, and nothing at once. You are what you make of it. You are you.
Keep that in mind.
A ship at sea, a person and their lover envisioning their future together, two high school lovers settling down, two kids scared for their lives. None are the same. And yet, all the same they remain.
Where do you fall in this?
Well, where did you come from?
Of course, this answer may come clear to you as the stars in the sky above your very head. Or perhaps, not at all.
Like many, perhaps you have no idea of your origin. This is okay too.
You don't need to know where your journey began to know where you want to take it.
You must be here for some reason, though. Of all the specks in space and the bugs below our boots, you were capable.
You are capable.
That isn't to say you, we, if the word choice comforts you, are any superior to the beings we share this planet with.
No, rather, you are capable. That is the meaning.
Well, you would be capable.
You are as free now as your thoughts will allow.
Nothing stops you from walking out of your home now and beginning a new life.
Maybe, that isn't where your journey leads you.
Perhaps, it is intended to take you not to a wholly new life, but rather, something that would bring you joy, be it exploration, friendship, or other.
It is said that diamond is the hardest material. However, the mind is the hardest matter.
The mind cannot be broken. Not yours. I can see.
Your mind is made. You belong here. That is what you have told yourself. Perhaps it's true.
Consider that it isn't, though.
Dolphins are social creatures. Dogs, Rabbits, Sheep, and Swine, all social.
Humans are social creatures.
This is set in our design. It isn't the same for all of us. Some of us especially. But connecting with others, those who are like-minded, this could push us forward in our journey. For some, it is their journey.
Return to that held thought.
What do you make of yourself? Are you a social creature?
Or do you stick to what you have convinced yourself works?
Are you afraid of new goodbyes, or do you fear new faces?
I know you. Rather, I know how you are.
I am the same.
However, I cannot lead you on this path, nor can I help you.
No, I may only send out messages in the hopes that someone may grasp them.
Understand this, though.
In your journey, you are everything. And yet, you are nothing.
You are you. And you are happiness. And you are sorrow. And you are joy. And you are fear. And you are relief. And you are rich. And you are poor. And you are excited. And you are exhausted.
You are everything, all at once, only waiting to be called forward, as if pushed by the waves of the journey you lead.
Take control.
You command your ship at sea. You now are in the past of that future you dream sweetly of. You fear the life you want to control so badly.
Control what you can.
Safety can be found in numbers, as is said.
You require safety to quell your fears.
Friends can be permanent. Blood doesn't constitute family. Love can last a lifetime.
And throughout the joining of any other body on your journey, one thing remains.
You are you.
