Everyone has an inner voice. Not everyone has inner voices.

When there are more than one.

Always murmuring commands and orders. Will you just husH?
Right next to me, beside me, following me. Always in my areA,
I'll turn my music up and hit my head against the walL.
Pleading test results and therapy, eventually a pill
Ignoring doesn't help as they only get louder with echO;
Profanities and insults because I'm a worthless chumP,
Remembering what my therapist tells me to do every timE
Arriving at the same conclusion, pushing from every corneR
Zeroing in on my deepest fear and biggest weakness until I
Obey; dying daily praying for a respite-none appeareD.
Living day by day is never better than the other - fatsO,
Elapsing time, voices forever with me, forever antisocialL.
