Fog

The dim fingers of fog
look pretty in the morning light
from the other side of a window pane
As I coffee sip and contemplate
from the warmth of my kitchen.

When the fingers of fog slowly withdraw,
I shall mourn the loss of dawn
and start my working day.
But until it wanders away,
I will value the morning.
