Moral Short story to Change your mind

***** THE THURS OF GOLD (greedy king)*****
There was a nation named UNAN in EUROPE.A king name'MIDUS' used to rule over there. Midas was extremely greedy. He was exceptionally fond of gold.
One day , Midas was counting gold coins, that an angel gave a vision to him. He said to the Midas," O king , you are very wealthy". "Midas made a grimace and said,"Oh! I am not so wealthy.I have very little gold."
The angel said," You are contented with even this much of gold. How much gold do you want? "
Midas said,I want to that the moment I thoch anything,that should turn to gold."
The angel laughed and granted the boon.He said" now everything that you shall touch would turn to gold."
The day ,king Midas was not able to sleep at night.
He woke up early in the morning. He immediately touched the table . Oh! What a wonder! It turn to gold. Midas began to jump and laugh. Thereafter he ran towards the garden and touched the trees, flowers, leaves, branches and the pots, Everything turned to gold.
They began to shine and glow,now Midas had a big treasure of gold.Midas laughed and jumped with abundant joy.Now he had become weary and tired.
He was also felling very hungry.After coming home,he sat on a chair of gold.He didn't even know that his clothes had also turned to gold . After sometime his servent came to give him water and food .But the moment, he touched the food,it turned to gold. Now his food consisted of golden chapatti's, golden rice, and golden potatoes. But the could not satisfy his appetite with gold.
Midas began to cry. All of sudden,his daughter came towards him. After seeing tears in her father's face, she sat on his lap and began to scrub his tears.Midas embraced his daughter.But Alas! What a sad sight! She too turned into a statue of gold.Poor Midas began to wail and cry.The angel felt pity at his pathetic condition.He appeared before him.Midas bowed before the angel and pleaded before him to take the boon back.
The angel asked ,Midas, now tell me what do you need. Gold or a glass of water?"A piece of chapatti or gold?A gold statue or your loving daughter?"
Midas replied." One can exists with out gold ,but one can't live without food and water? One can't live without the loving embrace children. Now I shall not be greedy for gold.The angel
gave a pot of water and told him to sprinkle it on everything,that has turned to gold.
Midas poured the water on his daughter, table, chair, food,and all the trees in the garden.All the things came back to their original form
Moral: Don't want extra that you had needed
