Be my moon

Even though you can be
ever-changing, promise
you'll remain constant
through my life.

I'll be your Earth and you
be my Moon. Constantly
pulling and tugging at
each other with
uncontrollable force, yet
creating a balance that is beautiful.

Be my moon

I'll deal with your "phases"
and changes. But promise
me you'll always be there to
put me to bed at night.
You may have to deal with
my storms and unpredictability,
but promise me you'll never
leave my side.

We will go through life year
Upon year, promise me in
These moments you'll shine
the brightest

I won't forget the times
you went out of your way
to create beautiful eclipses
to shine down upon my
most unhappy days.

But most importantly,
promise me that even
though I am different
than you, we will look
passed each other's flaws
and create something so
beautiful, that others will
seek it in far away
galaxies.
