Cain and Lilith as the first vampires
Where does my story begin? When I was born? When I first started questioning Yahweh? When Yahweh cursed me and sent me east? How about I just tell the story and see where we go from there.

I think it began around the time I was 16. I started to question Yahweh’s wisdom and rules. Why were my mom and dad kicked out of Eden? Are there are other people? Why are we here? Why are we being punished for my mother being tricked? Why did Yahweh give us free will only to be punished when we use it?

My mother and father told me not to ask such things. That it is God’s will and ours is not to question his will. I think the question that began my fall from grace was, “Why must we sacrifice our finest crops and best animals? Shouldn’t we be allowed to consume those since we need the nourishment they give in order to work the land?” Of course my mother and father scolded me for asking such things, but they were never able to give an answer.

“If you won’t answer me, maybe he will.”
I went to the family altar and began to pray, asking Yahweh these same questions.
“My son, why do you question the wisdom and the law of God?”
“I mean no disrespect, I only wish to understand your laws.”
“Haven’t your mother and father instructed you not to ask such questions?”
“Yes.”
“Then why do you ask them?”
“Because I wish to understand.”
“All you need to understand is that it is my law and you are to obey it.”
Yahweh then left the altar and would not speak to Cain any further. Cain was incensed. “NO, NO I will not. I will no longer suffer through eating the worst of the crops and the animals. We’re doing all the work. We’re the ones making sure that the crops come in and that the animals are tended and cared for. You will receive what I have left over.”
From that moment on Cain would bring only the old crops and sick animals to the altar. His mother, father and brother would offer up their sacrifices and Yahweh would accept them. But with Cain, Yahweh only scorned Cain. Yahweh would say, “Look at your brother Abel. He brings me his best, why can’t you be more like Abel?” His mother and father would echo those sentiments as well.
Until one evening Cain had, had enough. Cain and Abel began to argue over their sacrifices to God. Cain believed that if Abel would do the same thing Cain was, then God would have to see that Cain was right. But Abel wouldn’t follow suit. Cain got angry and killed Abel. Cain was horrified by his own actions. He never meant to kill Abel, he just wanted Abel to understand.
“Cain, why does your brother’s blood call out to me from the ground?”
“I don’t know, am I my brother’s keeper?”
“Cain, why did you murder your brother?”
“Because of you!” Cain yelled, “Because of you! You don’t understand that we need the best of the crops and animals in order to survive and work. Remeber? Aren’t you the one who cursed us to having to toil the Earth?”
“This is not my fault Cain. You had your chance to make the right choice. Instead you decided to go against my will and my law, now you will pay for the murder of your brother. You’re marked and cursed to wander the Earth aimlessly. You will not be able to make the soil work for you, you will have to survive off of kindness from strangers.”
A mark appeared on Cain’s left, inside wrist, it was a serpent, wrapped through a skull and around a sword.

From that moment on I knew there would be nothing but pain for me in this life. “Why don’t you just kill me now and get it over with?”
“No Cain, I will not kill you. You must pay for what you have done and the best way that I can see for you to pay is by living your life in misery.”
Amazing, isn’t it? How he can claim to be “just” and “forgiving”, but when push comes to shove he’s no better than the humans he’s created.

Cain was created by Yahweh’s anger and Lucifer’s guile. Yahweh cursed him to walk the Earth for all eternity and in a fit anger and despair, Cain allowed Lucifer to turn him into a Vampire. See, the thing about Lucifer is that he can’t just take your soul, you have to willingly give it to him. Cain willingly gave Lucifer his soul in exchange for super human strength, the ability to create others like him, the ability to change into other animals, to not only be immortal, but to be ageless as well. Over time Cain, as well as the others he would create, would become suave, sophisticated and wealthy. Those are learned traits. However, those things came at more of a price than what Lucifer had let on. He would hunger for human blood and wouldn’t be able to consume regular food and drink. He would have to feed every night, on blood. It didn’t matter if it was human blood or animal blood.

He found Lilith in Nod. She was ruling Nod. He had come from the west, nobody ever came from the west. As Cain approached Nod he didn’t know what to expect. He supposed that she would not allow him entrance to her city. He approached, wearing dusty clothes, a wide brimmed hat, boots and a long jacket.

He moved like a cat after prey. He saw the quarry, a tall woman, thin, wearing a black pencil dress and a hat. She was out, alone, he began to stalk. He trailed her for blocks until she turned into an alley. He followed after her and got slammed in the back of the head with a pipe. He crumpled to his knees. SLAM! Again across the back of the head and down on all fours. Someone in heels was coming toward him. In a haze of multiple images and swimming visions, he lashed out and missed.
“You dumb son-of-a-bitch!” The woman stated flatly. “I would’ve thought that if he was going to send somebody else, that somebody would’ve seen right through that ruse.”
He tried to lash out again but this time found that he couldn’t move his arm. Suddenly there was someone speaking into his ear.
“I’m now going to break this arm.” CRACK!
“AAAAHHHHHHH!”
“Oh, that had to have hurt. I know you’ll heal fast, but it’s going to hurt the whole time it’s healing. Now that I have your attention I need to ask you a few questions and you’re going to be giving me the answers. If like and believe your answer, I’ll continue to let you heal. If I don’t like or don’t believe your answer, well, let’s just say that you’re going to want to continue to heal. I know silver can hurt you as well, holy water, a cross, so on to the first question. Did Thomas send you?”
“I won’t tell you anything.”
SNAP! “This little piggy went to market.”
SNAP! “AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!”
“Now that’s just rude. You interrupted my little piggy poem.”
SNAP! “This little piggy stayed home.”
“YES, YES, my God YES!”
“Now was that so hard? Now I let you heal.”
“Next question: Did Thomas tell you why?”
“N-n-n-o”, he whimpered.
“Maybe next time you should ask who you’re being sent after, I think that would be a wise business decision on your part.”
“I’m Michael. Tell your boss that the big boss knows what you’re up to and will do everything in his power to stop you. Now leave my sight before I change my mind.”
