Robert goes on a fishing trip with his dad.
Robert was packing his fishing gear and getting ready to go fishing.

“Where are you going?” Robert’s father asked.

“I’m going fishing. Would you like to come with me?” Robert asked.

“Sure,” Patrick (Robert’s father) said.

“Get your fishing gear and let’s go,” Robert said as they headed out the door.

An hour later they are the park where they are going to go fishing. They walked two miles to get to the pond where they are going to fish.

“It’s cold and the sky’s getting a little gray, so we shouldn’t stay too long,” Patrick said.

“Okay,” Robert said.

They both put their stuff down and started to fish.

“I got a fish!” Robert said as he pulled the fish out.

“Good job, son. They have a grill over there, so we can cook it,” Patrick said.

“Sounds like a plan,” Robert said.

Robert and Patrick walked over to the grill and Patrick put the fish on the grill. He turned the grill on and it started to smoke.

“Um, dad it’s smoking,” Robert said.

“Don’t worry about it. It means it’s cooking, Robert” Patrick said.

“Oh,” Robert said. as he pointed to the sky.

“What’s the matter?” Patrick asked.

“It looks like it’s going to snow,” Robert replied.

“You’re right. Let me catch a fish, so that we’ll both have something to eat,” Patrick said.

Patrick caught a fish a few minutes later and put it on the grill. He cooked it and all of a sudden it started to snow a little.

“Dad, maybe we should go home,” Robert said.

“It’s okay if we eat in the snow,” Patrick said.

“I’m going to try and catch another fish,” Robert said.

“That’s a good idea,” Patrick said.

They both ate their fish and looked out into the snow.
