Deranged Killer
Knock, Knock, knock!  “It is twelve thirty in the morning, who could this be?” I said to myself as I stumbled to the door.

“Who is it?”

“Daniel, I am your neighbor Heather” said the girl at the door.

I opened the door as quickly as I could, for I knew if she were here this late something was wrong.

“What is wrong, Heather?”

“I was sleeping when I heard someone in my house, I got up and saw a figure in my kitchen, but when I turned the light on nothing was there. I thought I must be dreaming so I was headed back to bed, when all of a sudden and this sounds really weird, a man was crawling on my ceiling. I ran out the door and straight to here. Will you come with me back to my house?”

“Sure” thinking she must have been dreaming.

As we walked across the yard she told me that she had seen this before and that no one believed her, that she needed someone else to see, and prove she wasn’t crazy.

We opened the kitchen door and nothing was there. I walked into the living room and as I turned to tell her that nothing was in the room, I saw it, a man with his hands over her mouth and darkness all around him. Just as I went to grab him he was gone, along with Heather.  So that is when I called you officer.

The officer looked at me and said, “Which house was it?”

I pointed to the house next door.

“I’m sorry Daniel you are in Doctor Enfield’s office, there was no house next door, and you killed your wife Heather in your house ten years ago”

“Orderly! Take Daniel to his room, we're done! “
