A story about a boy who learns his lesson when he wins the lottery and cant buy friendship
Money Can't Buy Friendship
“Why can’t I have an allowance, every other kid my age I know has one!” Bobby shouted. Everybody I see has a lot of things that I wished I had; an x-box, I phone, I just wished I had that.

Years later, in an early morning I got dressed and my mom drove me to school. When the bell rang to go to our first period I saw my friends they were on their phones and realized how much I was missing. They were always on their phones and I couldn’t stand that I was the only one without one. When I got home from school my parents were waiting for me in the living room. “Mom dad what are you doing here so early?” I asked. “Sit down son we have to talk to you,” my parents said. “We know you have always wanted an allowance and now we have realized that you are old enough to have one,” my mom said. “But you have to earn it by helping us with some chores in the house,” my dad said.

Then when I finished talking to my parents I went upstairs and got dressed to go hang out with my friends on our bikes. I rushed out the door, and my friends were waiting for me. As we were riding the bikes, Jason asked me how my day was going. “Guess what?” I asked him. Today after school my parents were home and they sat down and told me that I’m going to start to get an allowance starting this weekend. “Finally, I can get everything that I ever wanted! “I shouted. Tomorrow when I get my allowance we could go to the gasoline station.

Finally, the weekend comes and went down stair and my parents gave me my allowance and I rushed to the gasoline station. When I got there a big, rectangle machine caught my eye. It was a lottery ticket machine. I ran towards it and put my money in and got a ticket out, as I was erasing the numbers I found out I had won 100,000 dollars. My heart was pounding real fast and my eyes were opened real wide. I hurried home and I told my parent I had won the lottery. “I can’t believe it Bobby!” my parents shouted.

The next day I went to the bank to get the money I had won, when I had it in my hand I thought it was a dream. “I just can’t believe it” I said. The days passed and I would always go to the store and bought what I wanted. I became popular in high school and I didn’t hang out with my best friends anymore. Then, I realized I didn’t have true friends no more, and as I kept thinking about it ; I just became popular because I had money. I just couldn’t understand how everything changed so fast.

That afternoon I saw all of my friends eating in the courtyard so, I went to sit with them. “Hey how have you all been?” I asked. It was silent, nobody answered my question. All of a sudden they got up and didn’t say a word to me. “This is the worst day of my life.” I whispered to myself. So, after school I had seen them again and I went up to them to confront them. “Hey I know I made a bad mistake by thinking money can buy everything, and now I realized that I was wrong, money can’t buy friendship” I said. “We can forgive you but you have to think about what you do before it’s too late.” My friends told me. “I promise I will change and I was thinking about donating the money to a charity; will you all be able to go with me after school?” I asked.

Then after school I went home and told my parents that I was going to donate the money. They told me that that will be a good idea. So, I went with my friends to a charity place and when we first came in a young lady was standing behind the front desk. “How may I help you today?” “Yes we would like to donate money to this charity .” I said. Then, she told us that we had to sign some papers before donating. When we finished we gave her the money and went on our way.

Finally, I had learned my lesson by understanding that not always money buys everything. Yeah we know that money buys a lot of things we want that makes us happy but in the other hand, it can’t buy our happiness and friendship.
