We have arrived in time where only way lesson the problems at an international levels?
2012102001 welcomes corrections
There was no time that the environmental problems as serious as today. We could not ignore it any longer but conceive methods to tackle them. Most people would agree that environmental pollution is global issues. Undoubtedly, only if global level of efforts being allied together can we diminish the evil trends going on.However, it is not to say we can ignore the importance of particular countries or individuals.
First and foremost, we must discover the root of the hazards. The outlet water from industries is contaminating the waters ever-present.The exhaust gas, which contains CO2, NO2 or SO2, was discharged into originally clean air and inevitablely do great harm to humanity's respiratory system. Green plants which are able to absorb, in a large scale, the emission of the waste gas, unfortunately, are deteriorating and declining relentlessly and raoidly. It is singular bad behavior that accumulates and causes serious problems. As we human living together, we must face the as a whole interest community. It admits of no doubt that in polluting the environment whether great or small, we have to shoulder the consequence. This does not mean yielding to any country. Rather it requires all countries jointly undertake responsibility.
More than half of the burden from air pollution on human health are borne by developing countries, according to an authoritative survey.Anybody who has traveled through polluted industrial areas of China or other developing nations knows how grave the situation is. Since recognized the seriousness and urgency of it. China has restated its commitment to achieving a massive reduction in carbon emissions per unit of GDP by 2020. The latest five-year plan aims to reduce carbon emissions by 17 percent by 2015 and the government will introduce tax incentives for energy conservation and emission reduction. For ordinary people, there are actions we can take to make a difference, for instance, saving papers thus protecting trees, conserving electricity and water, picking up rubbish whatever and whenever you see it.
At the same time, the global level of co-operation is indispensable. The earth is a shared environment, like oceans of airspace, we must admit the interaction in a globe background. Compared with developing countries, they face greater responsibilities and it may not be overlooked that the developed nations should subsidize the pollution reduction and technology transfer to developing countries.
To sum up, both the whole and the part are essential in terms of controlling the environment. It is not a contradiction for how we deal with the problem. Instead, they should be coordinated and complemented each other.
