This poem talks about what love can really mean in a pessimistic view
Love is not sweet.
Love is not kind or gentle.
Love is not caring neither is it forgiving.
Love may drive out hate but equally it instigates it, fuels it, and powers it.
Love is not a cradle or catalyst of fairness.
Love is spiteful and un-loyal even to it most obedient follower.
Love is blind, but blind to reason and def to truth.
Love is a cruel irony of life, always in our presence, and always just out of reach.
Love is an illusion and even when we are sure we possess it, Love will still scheme, conspire against us, for no other reason than because it can.
Love will twist a person’s mind to the edge of reason.
Love will darken the heart to nothing more than an Abyss.
Love will hurt and maim more than any bullet or Knife ever could and ever will.
Yet we all open our hearts to it, we accept the pain, misery and hate for the chance of true happiness, no matter how short or how brief it may be.
Love is self reliant and ever repeating; Love is a cruel Irony, the hate, pain, misery and agony it so regally causes can only be outweighed by the Joy and warmth it so occasionally brings.
