Children's story about a brave little explorer afraid of lightening |
Once upon a time in a house far from here, lived a mother and her 4 year old son, He was a brave little explorer. They lived in a tiny little cottage on a hill, the mother her son and their little bird 'Lil. Their home was surrounded by lush green land as if it was painted by gods willing hand. The boy we've named Jason loved playing outside, exploring all the land and trying to hide. Running through trees and getting grubby hands. it's no wonder that this boy loved all of this land. He loved it so much, that one fine day, he decided he'd ask mum to play. He rushed inside to get his mum, who was excited and happy to join in his fun. They ran around and played some games and even gave the trees some names. They hopped and skipped and danced around, until they fell and hit the ground. Mum and son lay on the ground looking at clouds from all around. Then mum had noticed a cloud so grey, she told her son they would go in and play. When they opened their door to step inside, water fell, but on the outside. Jason asked if he could play and run around outside in the rain. Mum bent down and said with a smile "only a bit, but just for a while". Jason ran around outside for a bit but was frightened soon after, as lighting had hit. He ran to mum who stood outside she swooped her son up and they both ran inside. Jason didn't want to see the lightning outside, it scared him so much, that he just had to hide. Mum searched the house for her scared little boy, with some chocolate yoghurt and his favorite toy. When she found her son so scared, she cuddled him tight and whispered "I'm here". Mum handed him the yoghurt and handed him the toy, to comfort her little son, her four year old boy. They both lay there listening, to the lighting outside, under the blankets pretending to hide. soon after the yoghurt, the toy and the laughs. This brave little explorer fell asleep in mums arms. The end. I live in New Zealand so the inspiration for this story hails from NZ the little boy Jason is my godson but he's now 16 and no he was not an explorer at 4 not unless you count the many indoor house plants he liked to help us make look pretty lol. He would kill me if he could read this lol. |
