Im the girl on the outside looking in.
She sits and wonders what brought her here
as people walk past without a look
looking down at her hands,
she notices she's invisible.
she screams and yells
Hits and shoves.
But they all just walk past
what happened? she thought
I once was noticeable
I once was the one everyone looked too.
but now they just walk past as if im not here
as she walks amongst the living
she goes to a familar place
her family is sitting at dinner
without her.
smiling and laughing together as if nothing was wrong
She goes up to the window,
places her hand upon it.
Her step brother, the one she loved the most
looks toward her
and all he sees is a handprint upon the window
he walks up to it and in a flash he sees her
but then she's gone.
she walks away toward the street
she notices someone familiar
the tall dark figure moves toward her.
he grabs her hand and motions toward the street
he says,
your the one I've been looking for.
where have you been?
and she says,
I have been the one on the outside looking in.
they walk down the street hand in hand as they disappear
