Written for someone suffering depression/anxiety |
As the sun sets with pure gold and orange hues, And the lightest rain taps at windows, Thoughts of you flutter through my mind, And swirl about my heart with care. My dear, Please know I hear you loud and clear. You’re in my heart, Please have no fear. With the motion of cars passing by, And the leaves of oak trees dancing free, It paints memories old and new, Of the friendship I share with you. Like an angel with wings so pure and true, My dear, please know I hear you loud and clear. And have no fear, For I will always be here to help you through. Night crawls in, so quiet and dark As the moon and stars dance high in our sky. And as I put my head down to sleep, My thoughts of you bring my mind to ease. Like the moon and stars above, Dancing in the greatest of heights, You dance around my mind tonight. Please know my dear, how much I care. Edit: I decided the second and fourth verses needed a bit more structure to match the rest of the poem. I'm still unsure of the name I've chosen however. Please let me know which one sounds better. :) As the sun sets with pure gold and orange hues, And the lightest rain taps at windows, Thoughts of you flutter through my mind, And swirl about my heart with care. My dear, please know I hear you loud and clear. And although at times the tides may keep us apart, You’re always in my heart, Never should you have any fear. With the motion of cars passing by, And the leaves of oak trees dancing free, It paints memories old and new, Of the friendship I share with you. Like an angel with wings so pure and true, My dear, please know I hear you loud and clear. My eyes could swell in seeing the sadder side of you. My dear, I'll always be here to help you through. |
