This is a flash fiction about me being in a car during a huge storm.
As the dark blue sky was turning pitch black, the wind began getting stronger and I could hear drops of hail falling upon my car. I couldn’t stop thinking about how dangerous is to be surrounded by glass during a big storm like this. All it would take was one giant, strong burst of wind and my little sister’s old tire swing would come flying through hear, bursting the glass into millions of pieces shattering all over me leaving me with numerous cuts and scars. Thinking of that, I began to panic. My heart rate increased, I could feel the blood in my arms racing down towards my fingertips, almost like a bunch of angry bees. I tried to clam myself by taking deep breaths so I could get a chance to think. After about a 3-minute debate with myself and a short prayer I decided to make a run for it with a positive outlook. ..Of course mom calling me down for dinner interrupts my game. Why does she do that? She knows playing pretend is my favorite.
