All the youth and the old
Are contained and controlled
By the ones in charge
The ones upstairs
The V.I.P.s
With their darkening stares!

They tell us where to live!
They tell us how to live it!
They tell us what to speak
They tell us how it's said!
And if you defy them, you're as good as dead!

They get away with this because no one rebels!
They continue to rule because nobody questions!
Questioning authority is a sin

They set fear to keep control
This is why we're never ready
When we enter the world, and when we die!
We're dangling from the stings
They've spent your life tying
Each string is a lie, and an excuse.
And when they've finally gotten heavy
They break you loose!

Those of you who listen
Those who understand
You need to take the upper hand.
Make them give you answers
Make them give you your life
Then hold it tight and never let it go.
Just don't let them bite you.
