At night I wish...

I gaze at the stars above
Wishing, dreaming, that someday someone will come
Take me away, flying under the stars
But I know it's not going to happen

I stare at the night sky
Wishing, dreaming, that I will make a difference
Take a day, take a year
But who will ever listen to a girl like me?

I count the shooting stars
Wishing that they weren't just planes soaring above me
Take a flower, and pick the petals
But I know they won't grant my wishes

I close my eyes
Wishing for a miracle
Take a wish
But then, wishing harder than ever before

I open them
Wish hasn't came true tonight
Take me home, take me to my safe place
But don't leave me alone
