An essay that explores war and real peace.
War is mankind's most enduring practice. War is wrought by the availability of resources and the

skillful use of language to exaggerate the necessity for it. This tactful use of language

manipulates a general populace to support mankind's most violent form of communication. Throughout

history we see how ruling bodies have used propaganda and the desensitization of it's populace. The

dehumanizing of it's enemies, the threat of extinction of their very way of life. Or war as a means to peace. It

is all to common that war is used as a tool to bring peace. I find this comical since the two are polar

opposites. Yet it is not our leaders to blame but ourselves. We are quick to unite under a banner that brings

false hopes and we do it time and time again.

It is easier to follow the herd then it is to think for ourselves. Yet this pattern persists. We are unwilling

to question ourselves even though every great philosopher since antiquity has said "know thyself!" So we

pass the burden of responsibility onto a leader figure.

Albert Einstein tacitly said that "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different

results".

These elected officials with ulterior motives and secret agenda then use this willing submission or

suppression of individual rights to wage war. We saw it in Vietnam, Desert Storm, Iraq and countless other

wars through out history. War is simply necrophilia. Yet those who advocate real peace and understanding

are called unpatriotic or rubes stupid enough to cling to an antiquated philosophy. Seekers of truth are called

liars and heathens. While our leaders falsely advocate truth and peace.

What is the means to real peace?

No government admits that it's army is designed for conquest. Governments tell us that the army is simply

for defense. In this ideology we first have to view our neighbor as our enemy. They must be eager to attack

and conquer. Yet we naively say that it is used for defense. Now all nations are pitted against each other.

When they create weapons then their neighbors do the same simply for the sake of self-defense. We must

dismantle the doctrine of self-defense just as we must dismantle the desire for conquest. On that day a

nation distinguished by a history of victories and blood shed and can proclaim we of our own free will smash

the sword and the war machine completely. A complete dismantling of the military burden. Rendering

ourselves unarmed when at one time we had been the best armed. It rests on a peace of mind, not this

foolish armed peace that our leaders proclaim is the lack of peace of mind. It is foolish to believe when they

say a gradual decrease of the military burden for they do not know themselves or the very nature of man.

War will never be a means to peace.
