A friend jokingly told me to tell him a bedtime story online. This is what I typed...
Once, there was a star. It burned brightly in the night, moreso than those that surrounded it even. Across the sky, there was another star. It was dim, but it twinkled, just like in the children's song. They caught each other's attention, and both began to try and reach across the sky to get to the other. For hours and hours, they tried. Soon enough, the sun rose and, of course, both stars were lost. The sun said, "This is MY sky! And don't you forget it!" The next night, the bright star returned. But this night, and every night since, many stars twinkled, and other stars were just as bright. They all became friends. Then sun rose and realized he was the only one during the day, and became sad and jealous of the other stars at night. He said, "I'm sorry I was so mean." Then there was a sound from the other side of the world. It was the moon laughing. FIN
