I sit there and see someone who is defines special.
I see a person who is beyond intelligent.
I feel out-matched when we have a discussion.
I know you think I am smart, but you are by far much smarter.
You were lead to believe you are not smart, but you fooled them all.
I see a person who has a heart without bounds.
You protect the people around you without fail.
You see beyond every child’s flaws and know who they really are.
You always put other’s needs before your own.
I see a person’s strength that is second to none.
You fight for your convictions like a prize fighter.
You fight everyday for others that can never say thank you.
You fight to change a system that is beyond broken.
You fight battles knowing that you may never win, now that requires true strength.
People say you are weak, I say they are weak for not looking to see who you really are.

You have made such a dramatic impact on my life.
I see you letting people hold you down, and you not fighting for yourself.

I respond to your question, “How can I not fight for you?”

My heart aches to see you held down,
When you are capable of so much.
