It would be a shame to accept such a phrase.
The fire awakes
and with it it takes
heavy breathes we each make
in the trying moments
that test each our own stake.

These moments we are not fake.
Untroubled by morals
the values once oral
the loves which were portals
as we demonstrate
what it means to be mortal.

We know not what it means
to be mortal
we immortals
because we've become dim
like a kid playing a sim
read a book
watch tv
play some pool
lift some weight
it's no wonder why we worship
believe in fate
yet content
with a tenth of our brain.

I'd say innate
or irrational ingrates
but maybe that is why
I do not believe in faith or fate
because I refuse to acknowledge
I live in this piece of shit place.

The streets are each dirty
each neighbor with hates
where elders each utter,
"It's unsafe in the late!"

The sunsets are dreary
clear skies shades of gray
admist the all query:
what once was of this crumbling place.

We
to blame for all of our blunders
at fault for all that is plundered
and I sit at the heart
of humanity's digrace
this place
where white stripes and stars
blanket the blood on their cape.

And I'm supposed to believe in fate
I'm supposed to show some faith
as I sit watching from windows
whilst the rest have to live like mortals
every single day.
They know not the pleasure
of living mortal only on the day
that they and the dear loved ones
had their lives sweetly suffocate.

"So let's just be happy
'we' don't live that way"
they will say
which I see as selfish
when plenty of food
goes to the waste.

... but what is a mortal
who believes not in souls
who listens for god
yet has not a faith
believes not in fate
have to prove
to show you his way?
When I'm told no faith
means no value
no care for their statues,
my song drifting blues
would turn their ruse undo.

Which just is not true
but their face in red hue
tells me "no longer persue,
they will never listen to you."

What should I do
not save every you
let the future just ensue
accept the world has met its due?

Is this my fate
to be...
just a wretch of our race.
