Grasping my chest from the pain.
Not quite a physical pain.
It's very dark in this room.
A random thought; a new realization. 'your eyes seem dead'
He says glaring into my brown eyes.
'they are dead' I mutter.
Out of embarrassment.
He sees the pain. It's radiating towards him. 'you should be happier'
He says as he moves towards me.
His movements are snake like.
Slithering towards his prey.
'I'm letting you live.
Allowing you to continue to have a soul'
I shake beneath his touch. 'I am not alive' I say lowly.
He grabs my arm.
I have pushed him.
'To be alive. Is to be free.
To be alive. Is to have room to spread your wings'
He loosens his grip. 'You see' pausing as his eyes form a hole into mine.
'I have no room. I have no space.'
He laughs. A malicious laugh. 'That is where you are wrong'
Snickering. He moves back to his original area. 'You left out one huge factor that makes you alive'
My face drops.
My eyes shift to the ground.
I wrap my arms around myself.
I look back up, to see he is now gone. 'I'm breathing'.
