I wrote this at 15. I tried to put a story into a poem and I believe it kinda worked...
The Promise
There they stand facing one another
In this rain, they do not take cover
She kneels down and looks up high
And observes his contrast to the sky

So there she sits, as he gazes down
-Where are your wings? Here is my crown
Be proud while you prepare to fight
You are wrong, I am not right

With her eyes she pleaded
Until she had succeeded
And he sank to her height
On the wet grass in the night

So far away she was from him
A ten-metre gap was within
But that is not all that sets them apart
They don't know the colour of each other's heart

Without saying a word they both started to cry
Their anguish was silent, but wet was each eye
And with out even blinking both reached into their chest
And ripped out the organ that helped them the best

Each fell down, one left and one right
They formed a circle that wound in tight
At exactly the same time, both of them said
So that is your heart... my gosh it is red
