Back in the day
Coffee shop on the corner.
I wish I liked coffee now.
I wish my body could forget somehow.
Everytime I just walk by,
You are a reminder to which I sigh.
No tea. No sugar. No war, thank you.
I wish that shop didn't have windows we could see through.

Take your hands from around my heart
Your kiss was too good to be real from the start.
Don't look at me with those big green eyes.
You once said you were different from the other guys.
Tea cups and pearls, shoulder pads in green.
Wheres my broken hearted loser, never to be seen?
Lets just stay quiet, hide your talent for now.
You're the next big thing baby, they'll see it somehow.
You sit there and write about happy endings and knights in white,
I wish I could let go of you like the end of a kite.
Why do I get the feeling if you hadn't of come that day,
we'd of met somewhere new another time another way.
I'm not angry because of the lipstick on your cheek,
nor because I'm unpredictable and and loud whilst she's shy and meek.
But because you said you would love me forever.
Well that includes today.
