The History of the Nomidians is a long and complex one. An awful strange myth... |
The History of the Nomidians is a long and complex one. An awful strange bed time story. We exist in an Omniverse. An infinity of Universes with their own histories, worlds, and existences. Each Universe has it’s own vision of Reality. But this was not always so. Before the Omniverse, there was a single, First Universe. The Nomidians were the First Royal Family to rule in this First Incarnation of Reality. God created this Universe, a Paradise. Everything was as it was meant to be. Perfection. There was the Earth and the Sea, there was Nature and Man, and there were the Nomidians to rule over them all. The Nomidians were given free will, with the intelligence and power of Angels. The family numbered 333, and for a time, things were good. Not one Nomidian was the same, but they were all equals. Even The Queen, who kept balance in the Universe, was in no way above her siblings. Then came the day when the Nomidians thought themselves better than God. As their knowledge grew, they developed powerful Cosmic Technologies. While God had indeed created the perfect Universe, the Nomidians felt that they could make one better. This was their downfall. Their technologies made things more convenient, more luxurious. With each leap forward, they stepped farther and farther from Paradise. Their luxury came at a price. Each convenince developed sucked life from the Earth. Burning it’s life force, scorching it’s air. There came a point, when their World could no longer take it. All the change had polluted their Universe, and ruined their Paradise. The Nomidians were at a loss for a solution. They cried help! but God would not help them. In rejecting his Paradise, he had rejected them. Their salvation came in only a blind, desperate hope. Using the sum total of their technology, they conceived a Deus Ex Machina. A machine to create a New Universe But the creation of a New Universe would mean the Destruction of the previous, with no promise that the world they create would save them. And so taking the seeds of Life and Humanity and Dreams, the Nomidians destructed Paradise and escaped into their new, unknown Universe. But how could they even dare to create something as Perfect as God? The New Universe was sustainable, but imperfect. It was not to last. And so the Omniverse was born. The Nomidians would constantly destroy and recreate the Universes in a quest to recreate Paradise. The more conscious beings, Kings, Prophets, wizards, find ways to slip between realities, enduring multiple Apocalypses. These beings become Gods. Having learned that their interference only damages the Equilibrium of Reality, the Nomidians have since begun to manipulate Humans to do their work. Using these precise and temporal beings like Chess Pieces, the Nomidians weave the history of the Universe and the World on every scale. Which brings us to where we are now, my Queen. Caught in the throes of yet another Cosmic change. This Universe is ending, my Love. I don’t think we will survive another storm. Let’s pray we get it right this time. -Androcles |
