A poem about an old friend who suddenly turned on me in a horrific way

I remember the time that we were friends
A connection words were not capable
Character an offspring of my own
The smile on my face

I had troubles at the time we met
The gouge in my heart was filled
The last laugh will always remain
Buried along with my happiness

A jug of secrets eventually spilled
Hate that wrenched my soul
Forgiveness I offered with hope to you
My life is a wound without a plaster- without you

Popularity stole your friendship
We pass scarce a word
The belief is still existant the true you is encapsulated
Deep within a locked cavity inside heaven

You will not return
Boys matter more
My final and only wish
Please remember the time
