A poem that is a reaction to the beliefs and attitudes one sees in the world.
Black and white are antonymous they say,
But black and white are melting into each other forming an indiscernible gray
Good, bad, black, white, similar, opposite, what is this play?
He said there is a vast field beyond this barren, befuddling clay
That is his abode, his stay
And that if i want, i would find him there
But is it even fair?
And then again, what is fair?
Should I even care for what is fair?
Again the eternal mystery of the antonyms
But what I don’t understand is, is there a land with two kings?
I have only seen just a single entity ruling
Sometimes guiding, sometimes fooling
Opposites are just a smoke screen i tell you
To hide from the eye what is just and true
These bedeviling antonyms are the very box where we all reside
Where we sneak in at birth and then forever hide
But now this box is reeking with the smell of the rotting carcasses
And the smell won’t go with just a few dainty splashes.
It is time to bury the box of the antonyms
And say whatever is necessary, dirges or hymns.
And then tune our ears to the unheard melodies
Sung each second by the invisible breeze
We must not gag it, we must not tease
All that is left to do is just please.
Please, oh please, we must please.
