Not so normal, Rica stood alone at the balcony with a secret wish on her mind.
A female stood at the balcony staring at the sky waiting for the first snow to drop that Christmas night. Her clothes were thin unable to keep her cold body warm. She endured the coldness of the night, her beautiful face painted with a gloomy expression.

'Rica you'll catch a cold,' a man whispered from behind the blond haired girl.

She turned around her head a few degrees behind her and looked with her lapis lazuli-like eyes at the man that stood behind her meeting his gaze. She gazed at him with sorrowful expression in her eyes.

He wrapped his arms around her small body and planted a kiss on her forehead. 'Why don't we go inside?' he invited whispering to her right ear. He tried to keep her body warm with his body.

She couldn't stop her tears as it suddenly flowed down her cheeks. She softly called the man's name with sorrow, 'Shin.'

He looked surprised for a moment; he looks at her with his amethyst-like eyes. He understood very well the meaning behind the tears that she sheds. 'It's alright,' he whispered to her as if kissing her right cheek. 'You don't need to worry. Whatever happens, I'll still be with you. I'll protect you always. That's what I promised didn't I?'

She continued to sob as she touched the arms he wrapped around her. She did not want to let go of him knowing that he will soon leave her side as the fate have decided. 'I know.. that... ---' she sobbed although at the back of her head wondered how he will do so when he isn't by her side.

'But still its hard to accept.' she still have a hard time accepting the fact that he will soon leave her side. 'Even if I try to think about it, aren't we repeating the past like you said?'

He released her suddenly and then turned her body to face him. He held her cheeks with his hands, showed her a gentle smile, gave a light kiss on her lips.

She looked surprised even as their lips separated. She stared at him while she touched her lips with her right hand. 'Shin you --' She couldn't believe he had resigned to their fate of separation.

He released her cheeks. 'I'll protect you always,' he said smiling as he combed her blond hair to the side. 'I'll promise you that wherever you do I'll follow. Though it may be the last Christmas that we are together, you can expect that I'll quietly watch you always.'

She weeps and then embraces him tight, teary eyed. How she wished it wouldn't end.

The two stood at the balcony wrapped in each other's arms sharing their last moment. They watched the dark sky waiting for the first snow dropped.

'It's time Rica,' he whispered. He release her slowly and so she did.

Both of them were reluctant to release each other. They stared at each other -- amethyst eyes to lapis lazuli eyes.

He stood a few feet away from her. Slowly, his body faded until he disappeared in her sight with a pained expression.

She watched quietly until he totally disappeared out her sight, until she stood all alone at the balcony weeping while the snow continue to fall. 'Shin... Shin...' She couldn't do anything but mourn for how their fate is sealed to separation. She hated the fact that they were born as a human and an angel.

She stood all alone at the balcony weeping while the snow continue to flow. While others are enjoying themselves, she weeps.
