Valentine Day

yes...love is in the air...pink and red color banners all over the shopping complex..Is valentine day....Is over-rated commercialize day that's what it is!!!Thanx to some marketing trolls, it is highly over rated kill joy of an occasion...

Let's do the math here:-
1. Normal day a "love relationship card" is only between RM8 to RM15. But on valentine day is some where between RM 25 and above..
2. Normal day a rose cost around RM 1.50. on valentine day is cost around RM12.
3. On normal day saying those 3 small words(I love you)in case some of you were wondering what are those 3 small word are..on normal day saying those 3 small words don't mean a damn thing,but on valentine day it meant the world..
4.On normal day kind gesture is taken for granted, on valentine day kind gesture are welcome or is seen as gentlemen..

I mean come on!!!shouldn't valentine day be everyday??!!I meant kind gesture is suppose to be a habit not some thing that one does to get in the good grace for another..oh by the way who said valentine only restricted to boy and girl??it can be to son/daughter to their parents etc..etc..and etc...

In China, the common situation is the man gives chocolate, flowers or both to the woman that he loves. In Chinese, Valentine's Day is called (simplified Chinese: 情人节; traditional Chinese: 情人節; pinyin: qīng rén jié)..."

The only good point of valentine day that I personally see in it is that is a way to say sorry for all the bad things that one has done over last year's sins e.g cheating on your spouse, ignore your spouse or abuse your spouse and with this special card on this special day one can hope their spouse can forgive and forget so that one can repeat the same last year's mistakes or sins and apologize again next valentine...

Again, I am not against love, I am against the IDEA and over commercialization of Valentine's Day, I also did some historical research on the Holiday and nothing about it came from very kind origins. There is a lot of law-breaking/sacrifices/beheading/etc involved.

And no I am not against love. Here are some ideas of making everyday a valentine day with your love ones:-
Every Day Valentine's: The little things in life that we take for granted
1.Every day, leave a special note in your partner's lunch box or briefcase for him/her to find when he/she is at work. It doesn't have to be long, just something sweet-"love you, miss you! See you soon!"
2.Along with the above idea, add a little something sweet, attach a Hershey's kiss or hug to the note once in a while.
3.Do a chore for your partner that they are not expecting-take out the trash or wash the dishes without being asked.
4.Leave a love letter on your partner's pillow before you leave for work, they can find it later and get excited for you to come home! (Write your own, or use a classic-Shakespeare is always nice.)
5.Cook supper for your partner, it can be something special or simple, but don't let them lift a finger.
6.Pick up your dirty laundry off the floor.
7.Wake up early and clean the bathroom while your partner is sleeping. They will be pleasantly surprised when they go in to brush their teeth.
8.Always say, "I love you" before ending a phone conversation.
9.Ask then how their day was. Every day. This shows interest in your partner's life and gets you talking about your day. Smile, listen, comment, converse.
