"I fight to remain human, but to what end? Already I live like an animal."
I often times blame myself, for her, I mean.

This, on top of other freely flowing emotions, can become a burden heavier then the world itself.

It makes sense, then, why some people would want to take there life. To be freed from your troubles and to reach salvation, or float as nothingness forever.

Have I considered it? I would be lying if I told you otherwise. Yet, Every time I went to end it, to finish it, I couldn't. It's like having an invisible wall blocking me. Its funny how death works, really. It keeps you away at arm's length all your life, then, pulls you in and asks you to embrace it.

As blood flowed though my fingers, as water flows though hills, before dripping though the grate, the grate that bit into my back, I can say that I considered it once again.

It would not work, though, Even if I tried, and I have tried before.

I let out a small moan, sounded kind of pitiful, actually, before sitting up; checking once again if it was a dream.

Of course, It never was, Not over the past two weeks. During those weeks, I have never seen the sun, just the ever persistent cold veil or night. It engulfed everything that I could see, giving mercy to nothing. Its something I didn't understand.

All that met my hopeful gaze was the gray or worn buildings, Accompanied by a chinking of bricks hitting one another, from crumbling walls. Soft echos from lonely shadows that once was.

My head rushed with emotion, confusion, my Illusions. My sorrow, my empty wishes, my hate. It was all there, all fighting one another. All I needed was to understand, as my mind struggled to start at the beginning.

...

...

...

My hand flew up to shield my eyes from the blinding sun as we stepped out of the theater.

"I still think it could be better, It was a total chick flick."

Kate tossed her brown hair, looking at me with deep eyes. I almost knew what she was going to say."Your so Immature, It was Killer."

"It's a teeny-booper movie with werewolves thrown in for the hell of it!"

I heard a snort come from her. "You just need to read the book."

Tear were welling in my eyes, laughing so hard. "There will probably be squealing girls in the back of that, too!"

She Giggled, Made me feel warm, I just loved entertaining her.

"Hey... Kate?"

Her head turned to look at me, "Yea?"

"...Do you like nature?"

She shrugged. " I guess."

"My dad is hauling me along to go out with him, and I was wondering-"

I got cut off. "You want me to go camping?!"

"Yea."

"Eww~! No, there bugs and creepy-"

"We Sleep in cabins!"

"Those things are dirty!"

This was not working, Time to take a different approach. "Katie, darling," My arm slid around her shoulder.  "I know this campsite... In the trees are the colorful birds who sing the most the most beautiful songs. And, there is this little cave that no one else knows of, which I would give to you... 'Kaite's cavern', where the world is ours and ours only..."

She stopped, blushing. . "..."

I think I caught her off guard, there was a little silence while I smiled at her.

"...Your... such a tease..." She muttered.

"So, You in?"

"So, Like a romantic date...?"

"Mhh-hmm, I'll bring candles and everything."

...Another pause, as my girl racked herself for something to say.

"...Fine, I'll Talk to my parents. You win." She said.
