If they only knew

In the streets of New York City,
many thugs roam the streets,
waiting for there break to be over,
so the can get back to their thug head-quarters,
so then they can only plan out,
their master-mind plan to start a riot,

but before they could get started,
police charge in on there secret hide-out,
'how did they find us' they wonder,
as they get frisk up against a wall,
if they only knew they were watched,
police watched them from the streets to their safe-house,
with secrecy,
secret camera's and much more,

if only they knew they could of known,
they could of been ready and hid at a different safe-house,
but they didn't,
there delinquent ways kept them from reality,
the reality of a happy life,
with children, and love, and a wife,
but they decided to choose the wrong road,
the road which led to innocent lives left dead,

shots ring out,
the thugs cover their ears in horror,
it was when they opened their eyes they faced their greatest regret,
their leader tried to escape,
but didn't make it through,
the leader didn't care much for them,

so all but the leader face 10 years of jail,
but when they got out they were going to prevail,
prevail the life they never had,
and find a wife and become a dad.
