My Heritage-Discussion Topic

My great-great grandmother or my great-great-great grandmother is believed to have been Choctaw. It would certainly explain why several of my mother's siblings look to be full-blooded Native American with raven black hair and eyes and deep red complexions.

It would give meaning to the otherwise unexpalinable hunger I have had from birth to absorb the Choctaw Way.

I'm not sure where it comes from, but I've always felt a closeness to the Oglala and Lakota groups of the Sioux Tribe.
