In the darkness there is light in your eyes,
They shine through the twilight like fireflies.
The sound of your voice can lift my spirit,
I feel truly blessed whenever I hear it.
Your skin looks so soft , I yearn to touch,
Holding back is almost too much.
You’re so sweet that my tummy hurts,
My heart is thump-thumping beneath my shirt.
The smile you cast spreads like wildfire,
It makes dreams form and transpire.
As you converse I can clearly tell,
You hold not just beauty but insight as well.
In my thoughts and in my dreams,
You think of me too or so it seems.
Will I ever be able to say such things?
My heart fears denial which surely stings.
So will I wonder and never know,
If I spoke these words just how would it go?
But the dream I can cherish, hold and enjoy,
Like a boy on Christmas Eve and that one special toy.
So I ask you, now and here,
Should I say more or just steer clear?
