A poem I wrote
I have heard it said that the night is darkest before dawn
As if twilight, our pain, should be discarded
As if it should all be forgotten, as if our hearts has been sawn
As if I should forget those who gave them selves, silently martyred

I cannot forgo those with a cruel or malicious intent
I cannot forget the pain and anger dealt
I will strive to destroy them, my anger spent
No more shall anger, pain, and loneliness be felt

If no one is willing to stand for their morale convictions
What is it that will keep them from being lost
I know my path, my morals, my dictions
I know my pain, my loss, my cost

It would be far better for me to bear a pain of this size
For I am experienced with this malevolent force
Until the darkness did perish, and sun did rise
A burden held, and now unloaded, for which I shall spare no regret, nor remorse
