Trying to let go of any pain caused during my youth.
Sadness creeps and slowly engulfs me,
Takes me by the hand and suffocates me with it's binds,
Tangled in a web of hate,
I slowly give myself to the pain.

Tears continue to flow and run to my wrists,
My heart slowly breaks,
As my head enlarges with frustration,
Pain is more than just a word.

I scream silently, with a smile,
I dislike you, all while I'm laughing at your jokes,
I can hate you with kindness,
And kiss you with ice.

I can pretend to be happy,
Smiling isn't so hard,
I can be anything you want me to be,
Your not so hard to fool.

Open your eyes,
I'm nothing I pretend,
To bad you can't see,
I'm crying inside.
