you couldn't feel farther from me
If you were planting a flag on the moon

a curtain, velvet
I move toward
less survey

yet you plan your withdraw
to untie our ribbon
be as mystery?

how terrible to imagine
loitering at the threshold
to behold your giant shadow
and be lost
part ways with the sun

to ignore worth is harsh
by comparison the story

sits waits

empties the page
Xs out the best parts

undefined
left nose bleeding

as some sort backward treasure
hollow and benign

the names changed
but could never sever

who better to ask why???
answers not
speaks says more with his eyes

who?
left hanging
ducks out
left by the side of the road dreaming

untold spokesman
unspoken for

goes forward
by token tin-can
towards that surreal sublime
mountain

how can truth be so devoid
love like a perfect stranger

personality just be
else everything turns to ash

endings come not naturally for me

getting started
leaps over the edge

to either plummet
or grow wings instead
