Not Cool

Is cool being mean?
Is cool being snobby?
Is cool about gossiping?
Is cool copying someone's hobby?

Is cool being a slut?
Is cool putting others down?
Is cool looking at the world,
Without a smile but a frown?

Is cool being rich?
Is cool being too good?
Is cool not behaving,
The way people should?

Is cool telling people,
They're worse than you?
Is cool expecting an applause,
After everything you do?

If thats what cool is,
I think I'll pass.
I don't need to be,
The queen of the class.

I'd rather be kind,
I'd rather be my self.
I'd rather be nice,
To everyone else.

I'd rather be happy,
And face the world with a smile.
I'd rather have the pleasure,
Of making someone feel worthwhile.

Instead of being a snob,
And putting people down to feel glee,
I'd rather have friends,
Who like me for me.
