A short peom of how hot I am.
My shades are hot and sticky, covering them from the sun.
My gloves are wet and dirty, I'll twist them when the day is done.
My gear is hot and heavy, wearing my body down.
Re-adjusting my kevlar, as heavy as a crown.
My mouth is on fire, my lips so hot and dry.
Longing for cold water, I feel like I could die.
From over there a man runs to me, and begs for what I want.
"GO AWAY!" I tell him, "LEAVE ME ALONE YOU CUNT!"
We keep on marching down the street, through the dusty sand.
Around the heaps of trash they play, like swine eating the land.
I walk to them and offer them some food I brought with me.
But putting their hand up saying no, they won't eat savagely.
Walking away confused and tired, just want this day to end.
Hopefully the end of this road, and just around the bend.
Finally reaching down the corner, the day so long and hot.
With joy finally filling me, my heart begins to stop.
The road reaches further, more than my eyes can see.
My feet are so tired, my boots begin to bleed.
I feel that I cannot go on, when they begin to yell.
The sun it bakes like fire, it feels like your in hell.
