Meaning of Work Experience
Work experience connotes 'skills and abilities acquired gained during work' in a certain period of time.
Companies all around the world vie with each other to secure the services of experienced employees. There is no better teacher than experience and companies offer high packages to hire the individual who has "done it" and "seen it all".
But there is one more aspect of work experience which i would like to discuss today. Is there something more which we learn while doing our work which we have never learnt in the years spent at the college apart from "work" itself. A deeper insight does give the answer. "Work" does reveal a person to himself / herself.
It answers a quite a few questions about the "people" at work to the "people" themselves.

Do you like to work?
Is there any problem if you work for long hours?
Is there any problem if you work in shifts?
Do you perform your duty honestly even if you don't like to work?
Are you interested in the work you are doing?
Do you need a bit more challenging work?
What do you aspire for more: money or intellectually stimulating work?

There is a plethora of questions to which if you find the answers, will be of great help. Answers to these questions will help you to determine the path you would like to follow. Thus work experience can be defined as a tool to determine your strengths and weaknesses, your likes and dislikes, your predilections and prejudices, and even your future.
