a brief explanation of what some people go through before they get on stage.
Palms are sweaty, throat is sore.
You hear the crowd's gentle roar.
Calm yourself, quickly now.
Think of when you take a bow.

Fear it shakes you to the soul.
Like you're falling down a hole.
Forget the words you knew today,
Like butterflies they've flown away.

This feeling hurts you deep inside.
It makes you want to run and hide.
The music starts the curtain drawn,
the time is now you must go on.

You reach your spot upon the stage.
In your mind you've turned the page.
You see the words, they come in view
All the fear has washed from you.

You speak the words, slow, in time.
Making sure to keep the rhyme
You're almost done, halfway through.
Your throat is dry, what can you do.

Push on my friend until the end,
With Ale your throat and nerves will mend.
You finish off, you take a bow.
You can't believe you're here right now.

The crowd they stand, they clap and cheer.
You start to cry, you shed a tear.
After the show you dance and sing,
With fellow actors you drink and swing.

They talk and laugh, they speak in line.
About the fear they get each time.
