Nevaeh, has found a new hope for living, the mysterious cat shina leads him to a new home
“Are you sure you want to go home? You could stay longer if you want.” “Thanks, Tiji, but i should get home, you know how my parents are.” Ah, well call me when you can ok?” “I will.” “Bye....Nevaeh....” “Ah, bye tiji.” Nevaeh walked off down the sidewalk. His sandy hair falling in his face. Tiji lived far away, but she was his only friend. Nevaeh looked to the sky with his usual smile. Walking further down the road. He held his backpack straps tight. The sun is going to set soon. Nevaeh was 17, but, unlike other kids his age nevaeh never, EVER wanted to get home after the sun went down. His mother would worry. Suddenly his attention was captured by a fluffy cat sitting in the street. He walked down the sidewalk closer and closer to where the cat sat. Suddenly a car sped down the road heading for the cat. Nevaeh assumed the cat would spring away when the car came too close and continued to walk...but the cat remained scared stiff. Nevaeh didn’t know what came over him but he dashed out full speed and shielded the cat with his body. The driver realized what was going on and stomped her foot on the brake. The car screeched as it slowed to a stop. The car came to complete stop as it barely bumped against Nevaeh’s quivering body. Quickly she sprang from her car worried. “Holy smokes! Are you alright you crazy kid?” “Ah,” nevaeh said looking up at her with a beautiful smile. “She’s alright,” nevaeh said relived. “Neko-san is alright...” the woman couldn’t help but smile at how adorable nevaeh looked, even if he was a teenager, he was so adorable, and his smile made you feel like you went to heaven. Nevaeh scooped up the cat in his arms and ran off. “Thank you for stopping miss!” he said with a cheerful smile.

Nevaeh set the cat down on a park bench and sat beside it catching his breath. “you alright neko-san?” he asked the cat not expecting a reply. Surprisingly the cat nodded as if she understood. The cat nudged his hand begging for attention. Nevaeh smiled and rubbed the cat softly on her head; she purred in joy and licked him. “What’s your name?” he asked wondering if she could somehow reply. “Sssshhhhhhiiiii~~~~!!!!”
The cat purred in joy. “d-did you just say some thing!?” nevaeh asked shocked. “Shi~~~~~~Na~!” “Shina?” the cat nodded and gave him another lick. “Who’s your owner, where do you live?” nevaeh was excited; he wanted the cat to talk more. “Shi...shi....shi....shi....na....shina!” was all she said. Nevaeh was disappointed, but shina grabbed her tail with her forepaws, slipping a note that was tied to it off, without hesitation she put it in her mouth and offered it to nevaeh. Nevaeh took it in curiosity and opened the letter up. It read: 738 Lovely Ave. an address? The cat purred and bit nevaeh. “Ouch!” shina jumped down from the bench and ran off, “hey wait up shina!” nevaeh yelled following the cat.
