this is dedicated to my grandpa Jim cooper loving grandfather who died on Sept 29 2006 rip
You bet ya

You bet ya there’s checker board ice cream in the freezer
vanilla and chocolate squares, I’ll have em’ together or neither

You bet ya there’s a big jar of pickles in the fridge
and if it wont open, He’d help, just a smidge

You bet ya there’s a table set just for me
and of course there was eggs, I’d smile, happily

You bet ya there’s a roast beef ready for Saturday night
and it will be delicious, a tender and tasty delight

You bet ya there’s old Milwaukee He’s someone who would share
its just sometimes He’d go to get one and ,shoot, there’s none there

You bet ya there’s a down side, I know I don’t like it too
sometimes you’ve got to say good bye, even me and you

You bet ya there’s a family who misses him, well, a lot
and will we ever forget him, we certainly will not

You bet ya there’s tuns of memories all kept within the heart
not seeing him around, now there’s the difficult part

You bet ya there’s a legacy left by this outstanding man
he’s definitely a hero, I’ll never stop being his fan

You bet ya there’s someone who wished for him to stay, just a few more months, please
but now he’s set free of all his pain, his mind and body is now at ease

You bet ya there’s a part of me missing but I know how much he loved me
and he’s always there beside me, painless, because god set him free
