Short story based off nightmare of being lost..
It was another boring school trip we were on, and I just got lost AGAIN.  I hate the kind of school trips we used go on aswell.  Some  boring old "rustic"  (run down) house that existed since white man in this country.  I'm bored, lost and it's getting dark.  At least the other school groups are a comfort.  Im 13 now, I'm getting too old to be to be afraid of the dark.

I noticed her with another school group.  Damn she's cute, I don't even like blondes...

She motions to me to come over.  Conversation long forgotten in time, we talk about any and everything.  We seem to mesh so well, like old friends...

We walk,  and come to a mound of dirt.  Cracking jokes the whole way, she asks "I wonder what's in there?"  I dig around a bit with my hands, and disturbed something.  "Don't trust her, it's a grave!"  says someone.  I look up to see what I assume must be her teacher.  "Leave it alone, don't disturb it."  I err on the side of caution, and shift the dirt back.  She can't be serious. They've  wondered off anyway.  It's getting darker...twilight.

Where is my school group?  I'm close to paniced now.  Two things kids hate most are being lost in the dark, and far from home.

The other groups file on the buses and start to leave.  Then I hear her.  "Don't worry.  You can stay here with me."  It's getting cold too.  "I don't wanna, I want to go home".  " You may not get a choice!  Come back to the house."

I follow,  maybe there is someone looking for me there...no luck.  "It's not so bad here, I've been here for years..."  "Do you live here?"  She's gone again.

I look out the window.  It's night. I am alone, and afraid. I spot her at the end of the hall.  I follow.

When I get there, she's gone again.  Then I notice her picture on the wall... framed...in a newspaper article..."Girl missing, suspected dead, body never found"  I go pale...

I hear her laugh and nearly crap my pants.  One thing remains clear in my mind...Do I further disturb the grave?  She is (was) cute...
