This is a short poem about writer's block.
I sit at a desk, on a wooden chair
The desk is littered with fallen hair
That I've torn out in a fit of despair
At writer's block

A sheet of paper lies on the desk
Seeming to say that I've failed its test
Oh, I wish it could see me at my best
Without writer's block

I try to write again and again
But the words will not flow from my pen
I've given this a dozen tries, times ten
To overcome writer's block

Maybe one day I'll be able to write
These words will get out, and I'll feel so light
Maybe some day, but, not tonight
I've got writer's block
