Fate's Game

Let me begin this story, with a mind bending plot.
Of love, loss, repair, and a world distraught.
Two opposites will attract, and then be divided.
By those who were there, in which they confided.
The good son would see an astonishing vision.
The daughter would create, a secret ambition.
The loss was unavoidable, the pain was great.
For one side of the pair, the other, got hate.
When the curtain fell down, the crowd had changed faces.
And turned on the good son, at any and all places.
His mates were dumbfounded, and they slowly left his side.
And the only one he could talk to, had gone to hide.
In the midsummer days, he would live on in sorrow.
Until that day came, he found a happiness he could borrow.
That girl he never knew, but heard about every day.
Would be the one who would cheer him up, in every single way.
Now she was wise,and her heart was set pure.
With a good man of her own, it was more like a lure.
The good son was convinced, he could win her with charm.
But it seemed that she and the man, would be together in arm.
So again hope was lost, for the galliant young lad.
Nothing more than a "hi" or "hello"  the good maiden said.
His issues got deep, and the time became right.
For the son to stand up, and go out and fight.
But the thought became clear, he would not cause harm.
To the maiden's happy marriage, he thought was so warm.
Then along came that girl, the one that would cry.
And there was dismay on her face, but her eyes remained dry.
And so it began, a series of mistakes.
That would lead to the final resting place, of that sorrow one makes.
Because now they are free, to do what they please.
No remorse for whoever, and no more tales, like these.
